Tirupati: With education one can win over the world and were able to question the injustice in the society, asserted Fourth Additional District Judge G Ram Gopal. He was speaking at a function organised on the occasion of Children’s Day at SV High School here on Tuesday.

He added that, with education only one can make oneself aware of fundamental rights and responsibilities. It is important to read with concentration than studying in a reputed school.

Teachers should teach discipline, morals, respecting parents and elders to the students to make them responsible citizens, Ram Gopal said. Another guest First Additional Junior Civil Judge N Sasidhar Reddy has complimented the students for their writing skills in essay writing competition.

The topic was given for the contest was fundamental rights and responsibilities. Children also should know that there are special acts and reservations for SCs and STs. Headmaster V Munirathnam Naidu also spoke on the occasion.

The judges distributed the prizes to the winners of various contests. At a function held at Srinivasa Auditorium of Sri Venkateswara University (SVU), the Laboratory Nursery School run by the Home Science department celebrated Pandit Nehru’s birth anniversary in a befitting manner.

SV Medical College Vice-Principal Dr K Madhavi said that the alumni of this school have settled in good positions in India and abroad. She said that she was also an old student of the same school. She advised that parents should provide good nutritious food to the children.

The Head of Home Science department Professor K Anuradha said that this school stood as model nursery school in entire AP. She asked the parents to extend their cooperation by giving their suggestions for the further improvement of the school. Retired Professor DL Kusuma also spoke on the occasion.

The children of the nursery school performed cultural programmes which were lauded by the audience. Dr KV Sucharitha, Dr B Swarupa Rani, Dr Vijayasree, Dr Sudarsanamma, Radhika, B Manjula, Divya and others took part.
