As many as 1,200 police security personnel led by Commissioner of Police T Yoganand has been engaged in the security arrangements in the first ever three-day Agriculture-Hackathon being held in the city.

Visakhapatnam: As many as 1,200 police security personnel led by Commissioner of Police T Yoganand has been engaged in the security arrangements in the first ever three-day Agriculture-Hackathon being held in the city.

With Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and several other VIPs from both national and international level have been staying in the city, police have made tight security arrangements.

Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu, who stayed in the city last night and present in the inaugural session of the Agriculture Hackathon left the city on Wednesday. With international business tycoon and co-founder of the Microsoft Bill Gates is arriving to the city on Friday, the security arrangements and convoy trials have been reviewed by the senior police officials.

The Chief Minister is directly monitoring the arrangements of delegates and the officials are working round-the-clock to ensure the event into a grand success. Besides security personnel, over 200 senior officials including IAS have been deployed at the event.

A large number of special party police in mufti is roaming in and around the venue and VIPs who are staying at various locations. Scanners, bomb disposal units, metal detectors and dog squads have been deployed at the venue. Police are checking every electronic gadget including mobile phones, laptops and even the wrist watches being scanned at the main entrance.
