Guntur: City police arrested 30 MRPS activists when they tried to lay siege to the SC Corporation State office at Tadepalli in Guntur district on Wednesday, demanding that the government equally distribute the loans to the Madigas and Malas.

The police also arrested MRPS leader and Navyandra MRPS president Parisapogu Srinivasa Rao. Addressing the gathering, Srinivasa Rao alleged that the Madigas were not getting their due in loans to be given through the corporation under various schemes. As a result, they were getting a raw deal. He demanded that the government equally distribute the loans to Madigas as well.

He asked the government to abolish GO No 25 immediately and take steps to do justice to Madigas. He threatened to continue their agitation, till the government does justice to them. If the government fails to do justice to them, “we will intensify our agitation,” was the statement made. The MRPS leaders raised slogans against the government for showing a step-motherly attitude towards them.
