AP cops denied bail in Rajasthan

Visakhapatnam: As the ACB court in Rajasthan rejected the bail petition moved by the four Visakhapatnam policemen, the accused are knocking on doors of Rajasthan High Court for bail. It may be recalled that they were arrested by ACB alleging that they demanded and accepted bribe from the two accused in a gold dacoity case, The Rajasthan High Court accepted the petition and posted the case on November 22 for arguments.
According to sources, the Rajasthan High Court asked the ACB officials to reveal their opinion before granting bail to the four-member police team
of Visakhapatnam Police Commissionerate. A four-member crime police team of the city including CI (North Division) RVRK Choudhari, Parawada police station Sub-Inspector of Police Shariff, Maharanipeta Sub-Inspector of Police Gopala Rao and constable of One-Town police station S Hari Prasad went to Jodhpur as part of the crime investigation team.
The team found that some people including Rakesh who purchased gold from the prime accused in a dacoity case bought gold illegally from him in the city. In a dramatic scene, the accused approached the Rajasthan ACB sleuths that the Visakhapatnam Crime The police officers who were investigating demanded a bribe and assured them that would be saved in a dacoity case.
Based on the complaint, ACB officials Rajasthan laid a trap and arrested the four Visakhapatnam policemen when they were caught red-handed demanding and accepting bribe. Later, the four policemen were sent to remand for 14-days.
With the stunning incident, the Andhra Pradesh Police Department deputed Deputy Commissioner of Police Shemushi Bajpai to Rajasthan to unearth the facts on the incident. The accused police filed a petition in ACB court seeking bail. However, the ACB court in Rajasthan rejected the bail petition.
On the developments, the AP Police took the case as prestigious and started intensive investigation on the entire dacoity case. Senior police officials who have rich experience in dealing inter-state robbery cases are presently investigating into deep on the entire episode.
