Civic chief inspects colonies

He inquired whether residents were segregating the garbage or not.

Vijayawada: Municipal Corporation Commissioner J Nivas on Wednesday visited several colonies including Excise Colony, Varalakshmi Nagar, Veterinary Colony, Venkateswara Nagar and Layola gardens to inspect whether garbage collection workers were segregating the garbage or not. He inquired whether residents were segregating the garbage or not.

He created awareness among residents of apartments on how to segregate the garbage. He instructed the workers to remove garbage dumped on the vacant land in the Layola Gardens area. He directed the workers to remove silt in the drain in Excise Colony, following complaint from the resident. He instructed to remove garbage in the Gurunanak Colony.VMC health officer Ramakoteswara Rao and sanitary inspectors were accompanied the Commissioner.
