Giddalur: A sixth class girl student jumped off the school building in the Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya in Komarole mandal in Prakasam district on Wednesday. Erraboyina Prasanna, aged 12 years, lives with her mother Sagalakshmi in Rautupalle village in Komarole mandal.

She is a class 6 student in Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya at Dwarakacharla village in Rajupalem panchayat in Komarole mandal. Her mother and grandfather brought her to the school on Wednesday and dropped her in the class room.

But immediately the girl reached the top of the school building and jumped off while her mother was looking at her. Principal Sulochana said that the girl came out of the class to go to toilet and jumped while calling out to her mother. She said that her fellow students tried to stop the girl but failed. Prasanna’s mother said that her daughter didn’t show interest in the school, but they forcefully brought her on Wednesday.

The school teachers and her family members shifted her to Giddalur government hospital and the doctors said that her two legs were broken. They advised them to shift her to Kurnool for better treatment.
