Housewife dies of medical negligence?
A 23-year-old woman who underwent sterilisation at two hospitals and later referred to a hospital in Hyderabad succumbed while undergoing treatment. Her relatives staged dharna in front of the Vijaya Lakshmi Nursing Home on Wednesday.
Adoni: A 23-year-old woman who underwent sterilisation at two hospitals and later referred to a hospital in Hyderabad succumbed while undergoing treatment. Her relatives staged dharna in front of the Vijaya Lakshmi Nursing Home on Wednesday.
The deceased was identified as Parvati. Her children–Nandani (3) and Siri (1)–became orphans. The woman was admitted to Vijaya Lakshmi Nursing Home on November 13 to undergo tubectomy. Doctors at the hospital noticing her condition shifted to another private hospital reportedly without the knowledge of the family members.
Doctors at the referred hospital found her to be anaemic and administered 11 packets of blood for the whole day. As her condition beginning to deteriorate, she was immediately referred to a hospital in Hyderabad where she succumbed. Relatives of the woman staged a dharna parading the dead body.
