Leaving common man at the mercy of such quacks, would the powers-that-be in the government approach the RMPs for their treatment, junior doctors wondered. Referring to the recent arrest of a quack by the vigilance officials, putting an end to his medical practice comprising of surgical treatment, scanning and performing even Cesarean surgeries, the junior doctors protested causing obstruction to movement of vehicles near the Collectorate for some time.

Placards displayed by the junior doctors are thought-provoking. They said that the officials are playing with the lives of the people by allowing the quacks to practice medicine. Earlier, the junior doctors proceeded in a rally from medical college here to the Collectorate.

Junior Doctors Association leader Dr Dheeraj lamented that the RMPs who hardly passed SSC are practicing medicine. Some others, who are skilled in applying bandage to the wound, are posing as doctors. They refer cases to big nursing homes and earning hefty commissions.

They expressed concern over the RMPs are going to the extent of dictating terms to the state government. He warned the state government of serious consequences if the RMPs did not put full stop to their private practice.
