Visakhapatnam: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said that Visakhapatnam was the biggest and most happening city in Andhra Pradesh which is known for heavy industries, steel plant, seaports, oil refinery, natural harbour and shipyard. He stressed on the need for collective efforts to move forward in the direction of Smart City Mission.

“Not just smart cities, my vision is to make smart villages and smart towns too, thus making a smart State by taking smart decisions using smart technology and with the help of smart manpower,’ Chandrababu Naidu said.

The Chief Minister highlighted the role of public relations in smart cities while meeting the Public Relations Society of India office-bearers on Wednesday, who are in Visakhapatnam to shape up the 39th All India Public Relations Conference on the theme of “Smart Cities, Smart Communication”.

Minister for HRD Ganta Srinivasa Rao, Agriculture Minister Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy, District Collector Pravin Kumar, Commissioner of Information and Public Relations S Venkateswar, National President of PRSI Ajit Pathak, PRSI vice-president US Sharma, Secretary of PRSI Visakhapatnam Chapter PLK Murthy and National council member BV Vijaya Prasad were present on the occasion.
