Darsi: Former Union minister Daggubati Purandheswari said that the development oriented schemes of Prime Minister Narendra Modi are attracting many political activists to join the Bharateeya Janata Party. She participated in the Prakasam district general body meeting held at Darsi on Wednesday as a chief guest and welcomed one MPP and eight MPTCs from Tripurantakam mandal in Yerragindapalem assembly constituency into the party.

The national women morcha leader said that the Union government was introducing various development programmes in the country for the welfare of the poor. She said that all parties had become corrupt but the BJP was the only party that was different and was the reason that many people were coming forward to join and support the party.

She said, “The Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is becoming expert in verbal magic and that is why not a single organisation has invested in the State yet. The US President Trump is praising Modi after knowing about the developments being done by him.” BJP State general secretary Suresh Reddy, district president Krishna Reddy and the other members of the district committee were also present in the meeting.
