Kakinada: Mild tension prevailed when Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi (MRPS) activists tried to besiege the Collectorate here demanding a unanimous resolution on the classification of SCs during this winter session of Assembly by the CM Chandrababu Naidu here on Wednesday. The MRPS activists reached in large numbers and raised slogans against the government and against Chandrababu Naidu.They alleged that the CM had cheated the Madiga Community by false promises. They gathered in large numbers before the collectorate and tried to enter into the Collectorate.

Police obstructed the activists and closed the main gate of Collectorate. Slight tension rose when the police and the activists pushed each other. Some activists tried to enter the Collectorate by climbing the main gate. Police pulled them off and foiled their attempts. At one time, there was a scuffle between the Police and the MRPS activists.

The MRPS district in-charge, Venkateswara Rao Madiga alleged that the CM had been stopping Krishna Madiga saying that he belongs to Telangana. He said that they would not step back even though many plots had been planned by the CM to thwart the movement.Later the activists burned an effigy of Chandrababu Naidu. Kothapalli Raghu, Valluri Sathi Babu, Mandeti David Raju, Kakleti Aseervadam, Palivela Naveen,Valluri Nani, Kommu China Babu and others participated.
