If they repeat it, their licenses will be canceled, and they have to undergo three months imprisonment.
If the offenders are caught thrice, they will be punished with three years of imprisonment with Rs 20,000 fine,” he added. The Circle Inspector cautioned the auto-rickshaw drivers against entertaining more passengers than the prescribed limit.
He said that nobody would be spared irrespective of their status if they are found driving under the influence of alcohol. Sub Inspectors Noor Basha (Chippagiri), Ramesh (Halaharvi), Maruthi (Holagunda) and Dhanunjay (Aluru) were present.
