YSRCP Holds Devineni Uma responsible For Boat Tragedy
YSR Congress Party senior leader K Parthasarathi held Andhra Pradesh Irrigation minister Devineni Uma Maheshwara Rao responsible for the boat tragedy in river Krishna at Vijayawada which claimed more than 20 lives.

The YSR Congress leader pointed out that the spot where the incident happened has come under the limits of the minister's assembly constituency. Uma Maheswara Rao did not take any initiative to rescue the tourists on the boat though the Irrigation head office was also located at a stone throwaway form the tourism centre.
He suspected the state government down played the incident deliberately since the area comes under the minister's limits. Parthasarathi also raised the issue of lack of coordination between Irrigation and Tourism departments in finalizing the navigation way for the boats plying by private agencies. The Chief Minister 's residence was also located very close to the tourism spot.
