Process to get LLRs simplified
Transport department has simplified process to get temporary licenses (LLR) under e-Pragathi programme in the district. As part of it, regional transport office, Rajamahendravaram has started handing over the LLRs at the doorstep of student fraternity.

Under this programme, the students should register their date of birth, photo and Aadhaar card. The LLR will be issued to them immediately after submitting the proofs. Participating in the programme, Mayor Pantham Rajani Sesha Sai has said that the students need not go to many transport offices.
At present, many students are riding bikes without license and facing problems. This new system benefits both the department and also to the students. Regional Transport Officer (RTO) S Siri Anand said that the programme was conducted in two schools so far and it will be held in all schools to give temporary licenses.
Under e-Pragahti, there is no need to come to RTO office for LLRs, she added. She appealed to the students to avail this opportunity to get licenses. Without license, they are not supposed to ride bikes or any vehicle, she concluded.
