VMC officials, corporators get a day out
Mayor Koneru Sridhar has said the Karthika Vana Samaradhana is useful for recreation. He participated in the Karthika Vana Samaradhana programme conducted by the VMC at Jakkampudi near Vijayawada city on Friday. He performed a puja to mark beginning of the programme. He said that the government was giving priority to Karthika Vanamahotsavam.

Speaking on this occasion, he said that the VMC was conducting the programme to promote good relations among the corporators. Vijayawada Municipal Corporation Commissioner J Nivas said that corporators and officials were over-burdened with the regular work. By participating in these kind of programmes, they would get some kind of recreation, he added. Later, the corporators played various games and had lunch together.
