Canara Bank distributes woolen blankets to poor

On the occasion of birth anniversary of Ammembal Subbarao Pai, founder of Canara Bank, Canara Bank Chief Manager VR Pattabhi Ramaiah along with bank Assistant General Manager Ch Thirupathaiah in the wee hours of Monday distributed woolen blankets and food packets among destitute at Railway station, bus stand, C camp Centre, old bus stand area and general hospital.
Kurnool: On the occasion of birth anniversary of Ammembal Subbarao Pai, founder of Canara Bank, Canara Bank Chief Manager VR Pattabhi Ramaiah along with bank Assistant General Manager Ch Thirupathaiah in the wee hours of Monday distributed woolen blankets and food packets among destitute at Railway station, bus stand, C camp Centre, old bus stand area and general hospital.
In all, blankets and food packets were distributed among 150 poor persons. They said that the Canara Bank has 6,300 branches in the country with a total business turnover of Rs 8.75 lakh crores. Senior manager Y Siva Nageswara Rao and other bank staff members, including P Sandeep, K Mohan, P Prasangi and A Srinivasulu, took part in the distribution programme.
