Nellore: In-Charge District Collector A Md Imtiaz, Telugu Ganga Special Collector P Prasanthi and Joint Collector II V Venkata Subba Reddy on Monday highlighted the importance of child rights declaration which was adopted on November 20, 2007.
Addressing a gathering at the ZP Hall here, they said that many events are being conducted on the day by various child rights organisations, government departments, civil society groups and NGOs.
They said children should be cared for and protected instead of being made victims of violence, trafficking and abuse. ‘They should get good schooling’, the officials stressed.
