Kadapa: Kamalapuram police have arrested 8 persons, who were responsible for firing at TDP leader Vijaya Bhaskar Reddy at Veerlapalli village in Veerapunayunipalle mandal on November 16.
Speaking to media here on Wednesday, Kadapa DSP Sheik Masum Basha said financial dispute between Vijaya Bhaskar Reddy and Bai Srinivasulu Reddy led to the firing. DSP said Srinivasulu Reddy decided to kill Vijaya Bhaskar Reddy and his father Gangi Reddy.
When Vijaya Bhaskar Reddy along with his men coming to the village on November 16, Srinivasulu Reddy fired two rounds at Vijaya Bhaskar Reddy in which his leg got injured. On this occasion, the police produced the accused before the media.
