Inter-State gang busted; vehicles worth 56L seized
Naidupet police on Wednesday arrested an eight-member inter-state gang and recovered 13 cars and other vehicles from their possession.
Nellore: Naidupet police on Wednesday arrested an eight-member inter-state gang and recovered 13 cars and other vehicles from their possession.
Speaking to media at Naidupet police station,Gudur DSP VS Rambabu said,the arrested were identified as Bhaskar Raju of Tiruvallur in Tamil Nadu, Darapaneni Dinakar of Srikalahasti, Santhanam Deenadayal of Chennai city, Subrahmanyam Armugam of Vellore city in TN, Ashokan Dandapani, Armugam Manikantan, Armugam Eswaran and Pitchayyan Ayyappa of Katpadi, Tamil Nadu.
Bhaskar Raju alias Pala Arogyaraj is a driver and teamed up with Dinakar, Deenadayal and they used to avail help from other accused for reselling the stolen vehicles in Vellore area in Tamil Nadu. In March 2016, they stole vehicles in Sullurpet and subsequently at many places.
The police arrested the accused in the case and recovered vehicles worth Rs 56 lakh worth from them. Cases were registered against the offenders in Naidupet, Sullurpet, Nellore 5-town, Srikalahasti and Ambattur in Chennai city.
