Amaravati: Lakshmi Satvika, a Class IX student of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) in Atluru, bagged bronze medal in International General Knowledge Olympiad (IGKO) exams conducted by Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF). The school students also bagged one silver, three bronze medals in zonal-level competitions. A total of 40 students got zonal of excellence awards.
At school-level, students bagged 26 gold, two silver and four bronze medals. HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao expressed happiness over the school students competing with private school students. He congratulated the students and Sarva Siksha Abhiyan assistant project director G Srinivas and KGBV staff on the occasion.
