Nallajerla adjudged best mandal by Centre
Nallajerla in West Godavari has been declared as the Best mandal at the national level by the Union Government. The China Amiram village in Bhimavaram rural mandal also adjudged as the best Panchayati in national level.

Disclosing this at a press conference here on Wednesday, the Zilla Parishad Chairman Mullapudi Bapiraju said that the Centre has adjudged the Nallajarla Mandal Parishad as the best mandal and China Amiram as the best Panchayati. He said that the Centre has released Rs.25 lakh to Nallajerla mandal towards the incentive for the achievement and Rs.12 lakhs to China Amiram Panchayati.
The Zilla Parishad Chairman handed over the cheques received from the Centre to the ZPTC Member Ananta Lakshmi, Mandal Parishad President Satish at the meeting. He said with this was a great inspiration and he would strive to put the Zilla Parishad as the best in national level.
The ZP Chairman said that with the cooperation of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and District Collector K Bhaskar, he has developed the Nallajarla Mandal in all aspects as a pilot project.
As part of this project, 23 villages were being developed, he stated. In 17 villages the construction of underground drainage systems have been completed and another six villages would also be completed soon. Zilla Parishad CEO D Satyanarayana and others were present in the meeting.
