Korukonda (East Godavari): Assembly Speaker Kodela Siva Prasada Rao handed over a commendation letter and an award to Saraswati Vidyanikaten student Marla Sri Lalitha for bagging first place in the State-level dance competition conducted on the occasion of 50th Library Week Celebrations, at a programme held in Vijayawada on Wednesday.

Saraswati Vidyanikaten correspondent Penakati Gangadhar Rao congratulated the girl and lauded her for representing the school in the State-level competitions. Korukonda Library Officer M Ramesh said three students under the limits of library bagged prizes in the competition. Sri Lalitha bagged first place in seniors’ category. Akshita Sai of Siddhartha School and J Vishitha Deepthi of Cherukuri Vidyalayam also bagged prizes.

Students who remained winners in various competitions at mandal level will be awarded prizes at Korukonda library on Thursday, he added. School Education Commissioner Sandhya Rani, Zilla Grandhalaya Samsta Chairman Nallimilli Veer Reddy were among those present in the programme.
