TD govt obstructing progress of Dugarajapatnam Port: YSRCP
Tirupati MP and YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leader Dr Varaprasada Rao criticised that the state government has been obstructing progress of Dugarajapatnam port. He interacted with the media here on Wednesday in the city and said the entire network of government has been trying to protect interests of a private port in Nellore district.

Even though setting up port in Nellore has been mentioned in the AP Reorganisation Act, the state government was wilfully diluted the issue, he slammed. YSRCP MP said though they had written many letters to the government for considering second government-run port, there has been no response.
Varaprasada Rao said the state government is also not respecting powers of the District Collectors, thus, polluting the administrative system through excess involvement of politicians. He also said funds released by the Central government were also being diverted to other programmes.
