Amaravati: TDP president and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu directed party leaders to focus on political reunification in the state to strengthen party at all levels. He also suggested to concentrate on Assembly constituencies where the party was weak.

Naidu reportedly gave a clear direction to party leaders on present political scenario in the state in the backdrop of Opposition leader Y S Jaganmohan Reddy’s padayatra. Naidu suggested a seven-point formula to strengthen TDP at party’s coordination committee meeting on Thursday.

He explained formula as that of strengthening the party all levels, special focus on Assembly constituencies where the party was not strong, political reunification, party postings to leaders who do hard work, party Mitra and Mahila Mitra for every 30 voters, booth level responsibilities to the leaders who have influence in public, promoting welfare schemes in a big way and uploading party’s encyclopaedia in Wikipedia.

Naidu directed that ‘Intintiki Telugu Desam’ programme be completed by end of December and the remaining 20.38 lakh houses be visited as 1.17 crore households have already been covered under the programme. He also directed to take steps to resolve the 50 lakh representations within one month that were received from pubic during the programme by dividing them under financial and non-financial categories.

Naidu suggested to party leaders to counter the criticism of Opposition party by publicising and explaining the success of the TDP government in various sectors during its three-year rule. He told them that they can speak about the list released by Enforcement Directorate in which YSR Congress president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy’s name was included.

He also suggested that they explain to the people that the image of the state was being damaged due to YS Jagan whose name was involved in various scams such as Paradise papers. The TDP chief directed party leaders to complete formation of 5,497 booth-level committees and publicise welfare schemes.
