The minister said the unstinted efforts made Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu in promoting Andhra a hub of information technology was yielding the results. Lokesh laid foundation stone for second phase IT towers at APIIC - L & T Park near Gannavaram in Krishna district.

He assured that one lakh jobs in the IT sector and two lakh jobs in electronic sector will be created in the next two years. The Minister also announced that 13 lakh square feet of space will be developed to set up the international and domestic IT companies their franchise in Visakhapatnam.

The new Towers will create 4,000 jobs and the Gannavaram IT hub will create 30,000 jobs in the future, he said two in every 10 mobile phones are being manufactured in Andhra Pradesh only. The second phase tower construction will be completed in six months.

In the next two years, government targeted to create one crore square feet space to encourage it companies to open their operations on plug and play method. Attract by Andhra Pradesh state government 's ideal IT policy, companies are making beeline to set up their Ventures in the state, Lokesh said.
