Kurnool: YSRCP president YS Jaganmohan Reddy predicted the golden days will be back soon if N Chandrababu Naidu is removed from power. Addressing a gathering at Veldurthy bus stand on Thursday as part 16th day of Praja Sankalpa Yatra, Jaganmohan Reddy said no one in the state was happy with Naidu’s rule.
“Rates on all goods have been hiked abnormally thereby resulting in closure of polishing units in Banaganapalli. Not even a cent of land is distributed to poor and instead Naidu is grabbing the lands of poor.”
The YSRCP chief said TDP government has not constructed even a single house to poor, whereas former chief minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy, has constructed 24 lakh houses in the state.
He said that 32 lakh acres of land was distributed to landless poor for their survival during YSR’s stint. But TDP government was seizing those lands also. At Ramallakota, the villagers told Jagan that there were not getting any benefits from the government.
The villagers said that despite pursuing higher studies their children are earning daily bread as agriculture labourers. They asked Jagan to show them a solution. Responding to their pleas, Jagan assured them that he will do justice once his party comes to rule.
The United Teachers Federation (UTF) leaders met Jagan and said the State government is doing great injustice by bringing CPS which is a major blow to teachers. Despite the Supreme Court orders to continue the earlier pension scheme, the State government is not paying heed to orders, they lamented.
Even the AgriGold and Akshya Gold victims met Jagan and narrated their story. Several people have lost their lives when the company turned its board. They urged Jagan to do justice and save several from committing suicides.
After hearing their woes, Jagan said that he has raised the issue in Assembly, but the government did not pay any heed. He exuded confidence that he will render justice to them ones his party comes to power and asked them to wait for one more year.
Former East Godavari District Congress Committee president and former MLC Dommeti Venkateswarlu joined in YSRCP on Thursday. Dommeti accompanied with large number of his followers met Jaganmohan Reddy during his Praja Sankalpa Yatra at Pathikonda in Kurnool district and joined the party.
Jagan welcomed them by wrapping party shawl. Senior leader and MLC Pilli Subhash Chandra Bose accompanied Dommeti and his followers. Speaking on the occasion, Dommeti Venakteswarlu said the Praja Sankalpa Yatra was getting a massive response from people. He said Rajanna Rajyam was possible only when Jagan becomes the chief minister of the State.
Venkateswarlu said he was joining the YSRCP as he was confident that only Jagan can achieve development of the state. Pathikonda constituency in-charge Sri Devi Reddy was present.
