Navy School Sports Day kicks off
Navy Children School, Nausena Baugh, conducted annual Sports Day ‘Khelotsav’ with the theme ‘Parampara bhi- Aadhunikata bhi’ at Satavahana Sports ground here on Friday.
Visakhapatnam: Navy Children School, Nausena Baugh, conducted annual Sports Day ‘Khelotsav’ with the theme ‘Parampara bhi- Aadhunikata bhi’ at Satavahana Sports ground here on Friday. Over 900 students from Class VI to XII participated in the event. Command Sports Officer of Eastern Naval Command Capt Animesh Nagar inaugurated the event.
Final leg of 100 metres race for boys and girls of Classes VII to XII and 4 X 100 metres relay race for senior secondary boys and girls were conducted during the sports meet. Vaibhav Kumar of Class XI from Himagiri House was adjudged as the best athlete-boy and Sheetal Sree Kumar of Class IX from Udaygiri House was adjudged as the best athlete-girl.
Dazzling display of sports drill, yoga and zumba were put up by the students, befitting the theme of the sports meet. The best house in sports as well as the best marching contingent was bagged by Dunagiri House. The chief guest gave away the prizes to the winners. The event was also attended by various dignitaries of the School Management Committee and parents.
