Kurnool: State level School Games for categories under-14 and 19 years (boys and girls) rugby championship games started on a grand note at Adarsha Educational institutions on Sunday. Rayalaseema Range, Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Iqbal was invited as a chief guest on the inaugural occasion of the 63rd State level rugby championship games.

Addressing the participants, Mohammed Iqbal said that the athletes of Rayalaseema are no less than the international athletes. They have the strength, calibre and standards of international athletes. He said that he would strive to uplift the sports and athletes. He further said that sports will keep persons healthy and in turn healthy persons can create a healthy society.

Adarsha Educational institutions founder, Pullaiah said, `It is fortunate that his school ground has become a platform for playing State level championship games.’ He assured that he would also strive for encouraging the games at the premises in future too and advised the athletes to play well to take part at National rugby championship games.

Prior to addressing the athletes, the Rayalaseema Range, Inspector General of Police and other dignitaries on the dais received the guard of honour from the athletes. The cultural programme performed by the Adarsha School students enthralled the viewers.

State Rugby Secretary, Ramanjaneyulu, School Games under-19 secretary Chalapathi Rao, Kurnool district Rugby Organisation president, secretary and treasurer, Surendra, Parashuramudu, Chinna Sunkanna, observer Manohar Reddy, coaches of various districts, Musthafa Kamal Basha, Avinash, Ramesh, Chandra Sekhar, Gnana Datta Rao, Physical Directors, Chitti Babu, Vijay Kumar, Basha, Nagarathnamaiah, Eshwar, Vamshi Krishna, Shaheen and Anil participated in the programme.
