Vice-President to take part in Andhra University alumni meet
Andhra University Alumni Association (AAA) created a database of 80,000 old students with full details for grand alumni meet which is scheduled for December 9 in the city. Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will take part in the event. Â

“The event starts with AAA 3K walkathon at 6 am from Kali Matha temple to YMCA at the RK Beach. Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu, who is former student of Andhra University, will flag off the walkathon. He will inaugurate the Andhra University Convention Centre on beach front,” said HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao while addressing the media at Andhra University Senate Hall here on Sunday.
He said the Andhra University departments have been working to create one lakh alumni students’ database for the event. On the occasion, Siemens, Centre for Excellence in Andhra University College of Engineering (A) and GMR Smart Seminar Complex in Science and Technology Bhavan will be inaugurated.
The main event takes place at Andhra University Convention Centre, Beach Road at 5 pm. Some of the illustrious alumni of Andhra University will be felicitated on the occasion. Andhra University Vice-Chancellor G Nageshwar Rao, AAA President and GMR Group founder Grandhi Mallikarjuna Rao, Andhra University Registrar V Uma Maheshwar Rao and others were present.
