Ceremonial lounge for VVIPs to come up at Tirupati airport
District Collector PS Pradyumna has proposed to build a ceremonial lounge at Tirupati airport for VVIPs. He visited the airport on Monday and asked the Director H Pulla and Tahsildar of Renigunta Narasimhulu Naidu to take steps to construct the lounge.

It will be convenient for the Ministers and other people’s representatives during the visits of Chief Minister or Prime Minister and other VVIPs. It was proposed to build the lounge at emergency gate of the Airport.
Regarding the runway, the Airport Authority of India (AAI) gave nod for only 7,500 feet while 12,500 feet runway is required to enable the Boeing flights to land, said the Airport Director Pulla. Renigunta Tahsildar said that clearance has to be given towards Renigunta side for 2,000 acres which is pending in court.
