Vijayawada: Students of various schools visited Bapu Museum here to watch a photo exhibition set up by the Archaeology and Museums Department to create awareness on the important historical places in the state.

Archaeology department displayed photos relating to the important excavations of the department in the State including Buddhist sites like Ghantasala, Amaravati, Bhattiprolu and Nagarjunakonda.

The Archaeology department technical assistant S Satyavathi explained about the significance of Buddhist sites and historical places. He also explained how they were developing museums and the steps taken by the department to develop historical places. Later, she clarified doubts raised by the students.
