The journalists in the Prakasam district organised a bike rally under the Andhra Pradesh Union of Working Journalists here on Monday, demanding that the government keep its promise of three bed room houses to journalists in the state.
Ongole: The journalists in the Prakasam district organised a bike rally under the Andhra Pradesh Union of Working Journalists here on Monday, demanding that the government keep its promise of three bed room houses to journalists in the state.
The union organised the rally from the district collectorate to the residence of Minister for Forests, Environment, Science and Technology Siddha Raghava Rao and submitted a representation to him. The journalists explained the minister that most of them were from financially weaker sections and are spending nearly half of the salaries on house rent. They asked the minister to pursue the issue with the Chief Minister and see that he keeps his promise of three bed room houses for every journalist in the state immediately. The minister promised to take up the issue to the chief minister and concerned authorities and do the needful.
