Anantapur: The Jana Sena Party (JSP) has taken up the task of strengthening the party from the grassroot level. Right now, the JSP is engaged in holding Parliamentary constituency level meetings and identifying active party workers.

The Parliamentary constituency level meeting held here on Tuesday was engrossed in identifying active party workers among the 60,000 aspirants, who applied for getting involved in party building in the district. JSP state media head Hari Prasad told The Hans India that about 20 coordinators have been identified from among the 800, who attended the party meeting today.

Already similar exercises had been undertaken in Srikakulam, Anantapur and Hindupur. In AP and Telangana states, there are 42 Lok Sabha segments and 800 party activists are being identified from every Lok Sabha segment. These selected people will be educated on party ideology. In the near future, similar exercises will be undertaken at the Assembly constituency level, mandal and village levels.

He said that the JSP supremo will reach out to people from early 2018. The mode of mass contact programme is not decided yet. It could be padayatra or bus yatra. Very soon party office will be opened in Anantapur. It is also not decided on from where Pawan Kalyan would contest in Anantapur district.

Hundreds of youth had congregated at the meeting venue and all those who responded to the party appeal were basically below 30 years and 20 years. The higher age groups including senior voters do not seemed to be fascinated with Pawan Kalyan nor have they evinced any interest in Pawan Kalyan jumping into politics.
