Eastern Power Distribution Company of Andhra Pradesh Limited (APEPDCL) has been awarded under the category of ‘efficient distribution operation’ for measures taken up to improve operational efficiency of the DISCOMs by the Indian Chamber of Commerce at the 11th India Energy Summit-2017 in New Delhi.
Visakhapatnam: Eastern Power Distribution Company of Andhra Pradesh Limited (APEPDCL) has been awarded under the category of ‘efficient distribution operation’ for measures taken up to improve operational efficiency of the DISCOMs by the Indian Chamber of Commerce at the 11th India Energy Summit-2017 in New Delhi.
The award has been primarily introduced in order to acknowledge and reward the power distribution companies that have taken new and positive steps to increase their system efficiency and manage the supply - demand situation more effectively.
This year APEPDCL has been selected for the award for its contribution in relating to the ‘efficient distribution operation’ for measures taken to improve operational efficiency of the DISCOMs.
Chairman and Managing Director HY Dora received the award from Indian Chamber of Commerce jury panel member Rakesh Nath. O Simhadri, Chief General Manager, APEPDCL, was also present. Speaking on the occasion, HY Dora explained how APEPDCL introduced innovative methods to reach consumers’ satisfaction in supplying power and billing through a PowerPoint presentation.
He also said how the APEPDCL reduces its transformer and distribution losses at maximum by introducing new modern technical methods.
The CMD congratulated the staff and said that it is the recognition to the hard work of the staff of APEPDCL .
