It may be recalled that one-town SI Manmadha Vijay was given voluntary retirement 10 days ago as he collected mamools from gamblers and matka organisers. A head constable and two constables have been placed under suspension.
In a recent episode, Blue Colts police–a constable and two home guards—were caught on CCTV camera while seeking bribes from a liquor shop. The video became viral on social media. Three days ago, a theft had taken place in two liquor shops. The police are understood to have collected money from one of the shops – SRK Wines – towards expenses of investigating the theft case.
