Vijayawada: YSRCP students union demanded that the government fill 1.72 lakh vacancies in various government departments in the state immediately. They threatened the government to intensify agitation if it failed to do so.

The YSRCP students wing staged a dharna at Dharna Chowk here on Friday.

Speaking on this occasion, YSRCP Krishna district president D Anji Reddy said that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, had assured that he would fill all the vacant posts in the state at the time of elections. After coming to power, he forgot all his election promises and has not been conducting the DSC regularly, he added.
He reminded that the latter assured dole to the unemployed, after coming to power and he did not take steps to give dole to the unemployed.

He demanded that the government regularise the services of the assistant professors working on contract basis in various universities in the state immediately asked to and regularise employees working on contract and outsourcing system. He criticised that the government was not in a position to conduct APPSC examinations.
