Tirupati: The electronic dip system of allotting limited number of arjithaseva tickets to pilgrims who have enrolled online is completely transparent and one lakh pilgrims are trying every time for 10,000 odd tickets, said TTD EO Anil Kumar Singhal.

Addressing media persons after dial your EO programme, the EO said, TTD introduced online dip system six months ago. "There are some pilgrims who tried for seva tickets in all the six months. For 10,019 arjithaseva tickets were released under lucky dip in November and 1,16,071 pilgrims have registered for seva tickets online.

Among them, those who tried first time were 39,322 (21.95%), who tried twice were 24,954, who attempted thrice includes 16,509, four times 13,815, five times-11,868 and those who tried in all the six months were 9,603 pilgrims. The EO also gave the comparative figures of pilgrims who had darshan, laddu, annaprasadam and hundi collections in November last year and in November this year.

He said when 20,72,591 pilgrims had darshan in last November, this year 20,55,953 had darshan while the sale of laddus during last November were 79,34,652 and this year it recorded 83,15, 373. Annaprasadam also made commendable mark with 41,28,363 consuming the free food as against 33,91,092 of last November.

The Hundi collections stood at Rs.82crores this November as against Rs.91crores last year. After successfully launching Telugu, Kannada, Tamil version websites, TTD will soon launch its Hindi version also for the benefit of the pilgrims, said TTD EO Singhal. The EO also complimented the performances by Bhajan troupes and various art forms hailing from AP, Telangana, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka who performed during TiruchanoorBrahmotsavams.

For the ensuing VaikuntaEkadasi and Dwadasi on December 28 and 29 respectively, we are making elaborate arrangements to ensure that pilgrims can have hassle free darshan, the EO said. The TTD calendars and Diaries 2018 will be made available to book online in TTD website, ttdsevaonline.com as well in Flipkart portal. The diaries and calendars will be delivered to pilgrims through postal dept.
