Ongole: The BC organisations in the Prakasam district continued agitation on Sunday against the government’s decision to include Kapus in the BCs and provide reservation to them. They demanded that the government withdraw its decision immediately and stop caste politics or face the ire of BCs in the state.

In Singarayakonda, the general secretary of the students division of Andhra Pradesh BC Samkshema Sangham, Maddasani Naveen Krishna led a semi nude rally from the Kandukur road junction to the bus stand and formed a human chain at the Ambedkar statue. They demanded the government not to include Kapus in the BCs and do injustice to the existing poor BCs.

In Kanigiri, BC Aikyaedika leaders demanded for the resignations of BC MLAs, MLCs and MPs for their inability to speak against the reservations to Kapus. They also organised a rally and human chain in Kanigiri and obstructed the traffic for a while with slogans against the government.
