The centuries-old idol of Sri Nageswara Parsvanath (23rd Tirthankara) has been inducted in Kodamanchili village in Achanta mandal.

Achanta: The centuries-old idol of Sri Nageswara Parsvanath (23rd Tirthankara) has been inducted in Kodamanchili village in Achanta mandal. The Jains in the State over the last century are trying to induct the idol in the temple in Kodamanchili. The Nageswara Parsvanath idol was the oldest one in this area.

The Jains have decided to construct a Jain Mandir to place the idol of Nageswara Parsvanath in it. For this, they have purchased a site at Jakkamsettivaripalem on the outskirts of Kodamanchili. They decided to construct the Jain Mandir with Rs one crore at the site.

As part of this, the Jain women offered prayers to Nageswara Parsvanath idol and conducted a procession in the village. The idol was inducted at the site where the Jain Mandir would be constructed. The idol of four feet height was shifted by using cranes. Hundreds of Jains from various parts of the state reached the place to witness the induction programme.

Jain Trust Board members Ajit Jain Kumar, Ambalal Jain, Ramesh Jain, Jeernalal, Rajendra Kumar Solanki, Bhavalal Jain, Jayantilal Palercha, Kamaraj Vajavat, Aravind Kumar, Mahendra Kumar, Ashok Kumar and others participated in the induction programme.
