Kakinada: Excise Minister Jawahar has said that they will prevent the illegal transportation of Marijuana in the state.
While addressing newsmen at the TDP office in Mandapeta here on Sunday, he said that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu had been fulfilling the poll promises one by one. He also said that the Telugu Desam Party was the only party that would do justice to the Madiga Community.
He also informed that with the GO NO 25 the government would do the classification. He also claimed that they controlled the belt shops in the state.
He further informed that the cultivation of Marijuana was going on in 11 mandals in the state and the department officials had destroyed 29 lakh Marijuana saplings. He said that some gangs were misleading the innocent tribals and using them in Marijuana cultivation. Jawahar further said that they were conducting awareness meetings for the tribals and making them cultivate the cocoa and coffee instead of Marijuana.
Mandapeta MLA Vegulla Jogeswara Rao, Municipal Chairman Chundru Sri Prakash, TDP district vice president Sai Kumar Babu and others participated.
