He began begging during initial years and started sharing his earnings with the poorest of the poor.

A couple of years later, he secured ration card and voter card and intensified his activities. He has been one of the beneficiaries of The Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act which guarantees 100 working days every year. He was getting Rs 1,500 monthly pension under handicapped quota. Apart from this, he earns through ‘The Hans India’ newspaper agency for Chinaganjam.

While his wife and son stays in Tamil Nadu, he settled here as he liked the local people and culture. He is supporting his octogenarian mother who also gets Rs 1,000 pension.

He maintains his family with a portion of earnings and allocates budget for services activities. His services include distribution of books, clothes and examination fee to the poorest of the poor students. He prints pamphlets on eye care and distributes to create awareness among people.

He also helped many dependents of deceased in road accidents. He helped many to get free treatment in big hospitals in Tamil Nadu by personally accompanying them.

He says he finds greater satisfaction in service activities. On International Day of Disabled Persons (Sunday) he stands as a role model to others who can share their wealth with the poor.
