Kurnool: The YSR Congress Party President, YS Jaganmohan Reddy on Saturday continued his 24th day of PrajaSankalpa Yatra in PathikondaAssembly constituency. Jagan’s Yatra continued through Rathna, Thuggali, Girigitla villages and concluded at Madananthapuram village. While on his tour, the BudagaJangam community people met and urged him to bring pressures on the government for including them in SC category and to suspend the GONo.144. Responding to their plea, Jagan said that he had raised the issue during Assembly sessions for discussion, but the government did not pay any heed. He assured them he would do justice after his party coming to rule.
Physically disabled persons met Jagan at Thuggali and poured out their woes. They said that they are not getting pensions despite several applications lodged at grievance cell at collectorate.
A physically disabled woman alleged that the ruling government has been ignoring them and they are not getting even ration. She also said that one person has taken Rs.2000 assuring her with a ration card. `A year was passed, neither he had given me a ration card nor the money, she lamented.
Another handicapped, Kantha Rao with tears in his eyes, complained Jagan that he is not getting pension since 2012. Stating the reasons, Kantha Rao said, being the YSR Congress sympathizer, he was not sanctioned pension. Jagan assured that he would send a letter to District Collector for sanctioning of pension.
Several farmers also met Jagan and complained that they were not getting remunerative price for cotton. ``We have invested much amount for raising the cotton crop, now it seems that we may not get at least 10 per cent of the invested amount,’’ they said.
Former MLC and YSR Congress Party leader, Shilpa Chakrapani Reddy who is monitoring the arrangements of Jagan’sPraja SankalpaYatra, said the Telugu Desam Party leaders are unable to digest the huge response to Jagan from the public. The Telugu Desam Party leaders are creating hurdles at every step and are filing cases against innocent people who are thronging at Jagan’s Yatra, he said.
Jagan assured the people who ever met him while on his Yatra that his party would serve the people with justice after his party come to rule.
