Srikakulam: Turpu Kapu leaders decided to show their strength by organising a picnic on December 10 at Etcherla near Srikakulam city. Addressing a a press conference here on Saturday, Turpu Kapud leaders M Srikanth, Surangi Mohan Rao, M Chandra Mouli, Rada Kailasa Rao, B Phalguna Rao, T Balakrishna explained that they decided to organise a get- together.
They demanded fair share to them in politics and in all fronts as they are occupying first place in the district and second place in Srikakulam Parliamentary segment.
They said that they will strive for the welfare of the poor in Turpu Kapu and support other castes in development of the district. They announced that they started a helpline to provide assistance to the displaced of Vamsdhara project in Hiramandal mandal who are Turpu Kapus largely.
