Withdraw support to Union government, CPI tells Naidu

Rajamahendravaram: CPI senior leader RavulaAnkaiah Goud has advised Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu to withdraw Union Ministers Ashok Gajapathi Raju and SujanaChoudary from Union cabinet and sack two BJP ministers in State cabinet to mount pressure on the Union government to release adequate funds for Polavaram project.

Speaking to reporters at Press Club here on Saturday, he said the Union government is trying to irk the State government by stopping tender process and in other ways. It is the duty of the central government to bear entire expenditure of Polavaram Project which was declared as national project.

He asked Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu to take all party leaders to Prime Minister NarendraModi to discuss about the project. Why the Chief Minister was mum in this regard is a million dollarquestion, he said. All the parties should work with unison relating to Polavaram project, he added.

He demanded central government to pay the outstanding amount relating to Polavaram project immediatelywhich is its responsibility, Party's district level meeting will be held from February 16th to 18th in Rajamahendraavaram, Statelevelmeeting during March in Kadapa and national level meetings in Kerala from April 25th, he said. People are vexed with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's three-and-half years rule and CPI would put check to BJP rule in the country, he added. CPI leaders T Madhu and N Rama Rao were present at the press meet.
