Vijayawada: Thousands of Bhavani devotees took out Kalasa Jyothi procession holding the lamps from Sivarama Kshetram at Satyanaryanapuram to Durga temple on Sunday.
Devotees both men and women wearing traditional dress participated in the procession which passed via Eluru Road and Canal Road. Every year, devotees of Goddess Kanaka Durga take out a Kalasa Jyothi procession to mark the Bhavani Deeksha Viramana in December. The temple authorities made elaborate arrangements for the annual event.
