Farmer climbs cell tower, threatens to commit suicide over land encroachment

A farmer climbed a cell tower near Kurnool Collector's office protesting against land encroachment.The farmer identified as Srinivasulu took a bottle of pesticide with him, threatening to consume it, and commit suicide.

The farmer complained against the alleged encroachment of his land in his native village and stated that neither the government nor the police paid any heed to his complaints.
He further mentioned that he has been complaining to the authorities regarding the encroachment on his land for the past five years but so far no action has been taken.

Police officials spread out nets under the tower and coaxed him to come down. After a while, they took him to the police station and initiated an inquiry into this issue.
