Burglar decamps with 35 lakh jewellery in West Godavari
A burglar decamped with a big booty from a doctor’s house in Tanuku town of West Godavari district. According to police, Dr Velagala Tirumala Srinivasa Reddy, an ophthalmologist and his wife Bhuvanasri, a gynecologist are running Geetha hospital in Tanuku town.
Eluru: A burglar decamped with a big booty from a doctor’s house in Tanuku town of West Godavari district. According to police, Dr Velagala Tirumala Srinivasa Reddy, an ophthalmologist and his wife Bhuvanasri, a gynecologist are running Geetha hospital in Tanuku town.
The couple is residing in the upstairs of the hospital. On Saturday, the doctor along with family members went to Tirupati. On Sunday night, a masked man entered the house of Dr Srinivasa Reddy by break opening the main door on the first floor and decamped with Rs 50,000 cash and Rs 35 lakh worth of ornaments and silver articles from the chest of the house.
The relatives saw the doors open and informed the matter to Srinivas Reddy who was now at Tirupati. The doctor told the relatives about the gold and silver articles kept in the chest. Based on the information, the relatives complained with Tanuku police on the burglary.
The police pressed clues team and checked the house. Police suspected that as the crime might be handy work of known persons. The CC cameras are showing a masked man entering the house, police said.
