Amaravati: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu requested Dasan Networks based in Seoul, South Korea, to scale up their involvement in AP during a meeting he held with Nam Min-woo, Chairman of the company on Monday.

Responding to the request of Chandrababu Naidu, Min-woo said that they plan to start a manufacturing unit in India, and are looking for opportunities. The Chief Minister informed him that the State government has been connecting every home with Fibre Net.

Dasan is a global network solution provider that develops and manufactures network equipment for fixed and mobile broadband services.

During a meeting with Hwang Chul-joo, CEO of Jusung Engineering, Chandrababu Naidu invited the company to set up a Research & Development unit in the State. They plan to establish a solar power plant with a capacity of 100 Giga watts in India. They are also developing the next generation of LED bulbs, called OLED. The Chief Minister said that India is already investing in LED in a big way, and will make for a big market.

He assured them of all support, and invited the chairman to come and participate in the Partnership Summit in Visakhapatnam, which will be held in February, 2018.

Jusung Engineering has solar power plants all over India (New Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Coimbatore) with a combined capacity of 3.6 GW. Kim Daehoon, CEO of Iritech, accepted the proposal of Chandrababu Naidu to visit AP in the second week of December to discuss about their plans to invest in the State. The organisation supplies iris-based biometrics software and hardware solutions for identity assurance in the fields of security and safety.

The Chief Minister explained all the initiatives taken up by the government including sensors, Internet of Things, drones, cloud and more.

Chandrababu Naidu also met CEO and president of Lotte Corp Kag-Gyu Hwang and its executive vice-president Lim Byung Yun. Both the parties agreed to set up a joint working group with representatives of AP government and Lotte Group to explore the possibilities of cooperation.

Chandrababu Naidu explained all the investment opportunities in AP, the growth potential and the development project of the capital city, Amaravati.

Lotte Corp. is South Korea’s eighth largest business conglomerate, and is engaged in diverse industries like candy manufacturing, beverages, hotels, fast food, retail, financial services, heavy chemicals, electronics, IT, construction, publishing, & entertainment. During a meeting with J J Hong, founder CEO of Kokam, which is one of the world’s leading battery manufacturers, Naidu suggested to them to invest in AP.
