Narsapur: MLA Bandaru Madhava Naidu said that a septic treatment plant would be constructed in Narsapuram town with new technology for the first time in the country as part of Swachandhra Pradesh.

He along with Municipal Administration Principal Secretary Karikala Valavan visited various places in Narsapur town where the septic treatment plants have been taken up in the town.

The MLA on the occasion said the night soil collected from septic tanks in the households are pouring in the drinking water sources like canals and drains. Due to this, the canal and river waters were polluted. In view of this, for the first time, the septic treatment plant is constructed in Narsapur constituency, he said and added an amusement park would also be constructed near this treatment plant.

Swachandhra Pradesh Executive Vice Chairman CL Venkatrao said that The Biomass company of the US and the Administrative College have taken up the construction of the septic tanks with new technology.

The night soil collected from these tanks would be treated and supplied as fertilizer to plants. The government has sanctioned this project for the first time to Narsapur in the country. The Government will implement 32 towns in the state after Narsapur. Soon another 78 towns will be implemented the project, he added.

Urban Governance Administrator Srinivasachary, Sanitation Lead Officer Arun Kumar, Municipal Chairperson Pasupuleti Ratnamala, Senior Environment Engineer Amaresh and others followed the MLA and Principal Secretary of Municipal Administration.
