Prisons department sports meet from tomorrow
The Telangana State Prisons Department is all set to host its fourth three-day annual sports meet for the year 2017 from December 6. Hyderabad: The Telangana State Prisons Department is all set to host its fourth three-day annual sports meet for the year 2017 from December 6. Subhash, Deputy Jailer of Chanchalguda Jail said, “We have divided the participants into two ranges - Warangal and Hyderabad - with each one having five districts. Our sports in-charge conducted the selection process in the districts and the participants qualified will take part in the sports meet on the scheduled dates.”
He further added, “There are altogether 242 members who have been selected for various events like 100m race, 800m race, shotput, kabaddi, basketball, volleyball and shuttle. On these three days, all the staff for Prison department would be off duty and participate in the sports meet.” “We have invited Director General of Prisons VK Singh to be the chief guest for prize distribution function,” Subhash said.
